Privacy Policy

Last Updated: November 26, 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to RepsForReels. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our RepsForReels mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

2. Who We Are

RepsForReels is a mobile application that encourages physical activity by requiring users to perform exercises (such as pushups) in order to earn scrolling time on social media and other applications.

Our contact information is available through our website at repsforreels.com.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect information necessary to set up and maintain your account, such as your email address, name, and other identifying information provided through third-party authentication services (Google, Apple).
  • User Content: Information you provide when using the Service, such as profile information or content you share if you use social features.

3.2 Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage Data: Information about your activity on the Service, including:
    • Exercise data (pushup counts, other exercise metrics)
    • Streak information
    • Time budget usage
    • Historical statistics of exercises performed
    • Session duration and frequency
  • Device Information: Information about your mobile device and internet connection, including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, and IP address.
  • App Usage Information: Through the screen time API on iOS and equivalent on Android, we collect information about the time you spend on various applications. We do not collect information about specific content viewed within those applications.

3.3 Face Data and Exercise Detection

How We Use Face Data

RepsForReels uses your device's camera to detect exercises (such as pushups) through facial landmark detection. This feature is essential to our core functionality of verifying exercise completion to earn scrolling time.

Face Data Collection and Storage

We do not collect, store, or retain any face data. All facial landmark detection and video processing occurs entirely on your device. Specifically:

  • No face data is retained: Face data is processed in real-time on your device and is immediately discarded after exercise detection. We do not retain any facial images, facial landmarks, or biometric identifiers.
  • No video recordings are stored: The camera feed is processed locally and in real-time. No video recordings are created or stored on your device or our servers.
  • No face data is transmitted: Face data never leaves your device. Only the final exercise count (a simple number) is synced to your account.

Why We Don't Store Face Data

We have designed our app to prioritize your privacy. Face data is not stored because:

  • Exercise detection can be performed in real-time without storage
  • Storing face data is unnecessary for our app's functionality
  • We believe in data minimization and only collecting what is essential

Third-Party Sharing of Face Data

We do not share face data with any third parties. Since we don't collect or store face data, there is no face data to share. Our third-party service providers receive only aggregated exercise counts, never face data or video content.

Your Control Over Face Data

  • You can deny camera permissions at any time through your device settings
  • If camera access is denied, you can still use other app features that don't require exercise verification
  • Since no face data is stored, there is no face data to delete when you delete your account

3.4 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party services when you choose to connect your account with those services (such as Google or Apple for authentication).

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To create and manage your account
